The Three Billy-Goats Gruff

Three goats named Gruff try to cross a troll's bridge one by one, each buying time by naming a bigger goat coming along behind — until the biggest goat finally faces the troll himself.
Once on a time there were three Billy-goats, who were to go up to the hill-side to make themselves fat, and the name of all three was “Gruff”.
एक समय की बात है, तीन बकरे थे, जिन्हें पहाड़ी की तरफ़ जाकर खुद को मोटा करना था, और तीनों का नाम था "ग्रफ़"।
On the way up was a bridge over a burn they had to cross; and under the bridge lived a great ugly Troll, with eyes as big as saucers, and a nose as long as a poker.
रास्ते में एक पुल था जो एक नाले के ऊपर बना था, जिसे उन्हें पार करना था; और उस पुल के नीचे एक बड़ा भद्दा ट्रोल रहता था, जिसकी आँखें तश्तरी जितनी बड़ी थीं, और नाक चिमटे जितनी लंबी।
So first of all came the youngest billy-goat Gruff to cross the bridge.

“Trip, trap; trip, trap!” went the bridge.

“WHO’S THAT tripping over my bridge?” roared the Troll.
"कौन है जो मेरे पुल पर धमक रहा है?" ट्रोल दहाड़ा।
“Oh! it is only I, the tiniest billy-goat Gruff; and I’m going up to the hill-side to make myself fat”, said the billy-goat, with such a small voice.
"अरे! यह तो बस मैं हूँ, सबसे छोटा बकरा ग्रफ़; और मैं पहाड़ी की तरफ़ खुद को मोटा करने जा रहा हूँ," बकरे ने अपनी बहुत ही छोटी आवाज़ में कहा।
“Now, I’m coming to gobble you up”, said the Troll.
"अब, मैं तुम्हें निगलने आ रहा हूँ," ट्रोल ने कहा।
“Oh, no! pray don’t take me. I’m too little, that I am”, said the billy-goat; “wait a bit till the second billy-goat Gruff comes, he’s much bigger.”
"अरे, नहीं! कृपया मुझे मत लो। मैं बहुत छोटा हूँ, हाँ मैं छोटा ही हूँ," बकरे ने कहा; "थोड़ा रुको जब तक दूसरा बकरा ग्रफ़ न आ जाए, वह मुझसे कहीं बड़ा है।"
“Well! be off with you”, said the Troll.
"ठीक है! जाओ यहाँ से," ट्रोल ने कहा।
A little while after came the second billy-goat Gruff to cross the bridge.
थोड़ी देर बाद दूसरा बकरा ग्रफ़ पुल पार करने आया।
“TRIP, TRAP! TRIP, TRAP! TRIP, TRAP!” went the bridge.
"ट्रिप, ट्रैप! ट्रिप, ट्रैप! ट्रिप, ट्रैप!" पुल से आवाज़ आई।
“WHO’S THAT tripping over my bridge?” roared the Troll.
"कौन है जो मेरे पुल पर धमक रहा है?" ट्रोल दहाड़ा।
“Oh! it’s the second billy-goat Gruff, and I’m going up to the hill-side to make myself fat”, said the billy-goat, who hadn’t such a small voice.
"अरे! यह दूसरा बकरा ग्रफ़ है, और मैं पहाड़ी की तरफ़ खुद को मोटा करने जा रहा हूँ," बकरे ने कहा, जिसकी आवाज़ इतनी छोटी नहीं थी।
“Now, I’m coming to gobble you up”, said the Troll.

“Oh, no! don’t take me, wait a little till the big billy-goat Gruff comes, he’s much bigger.”

“Very well! be off with you”, said the Troll.

But just then up came the big billy-goat Gruff.
पर तभी बड़ा बकरा ग्रफ़ आ पहुँचा।
“TRIP, TRAP! TRIP, TRAP! TRIP, TRAP!” went the bridge, for the billy-goat was so heavy that the bridge creaked and groaned under him.
"ट्रिप, ट्रैप! ट्रिप, ट्रैप! ट्रिप, ट्रैप!" पुल से आवाज़ आई, क्योंकि बकरा इतना भारी था कि पुल उसके नीचे चरमराने और कराहने लगा।
“WHO’S THAT tramping over my bridge?” roared the Troll.

“IT’S I! THE BIG BILLY-GOAT GRUFF”, said the billy-goat, who had an ugly hoarse voice of his own.

“Now, I’m coming to gobble you up”, roared the Troll.

Well, come along! I’ve got two spears, And I’ll poke your eyeballs out at your ears; I’ve got besides two curling-stones, And I’ll crush you to bits, body and bones.
अच्छा, आ जाओ! मेरे पास दो भाले हैं, और मैं तुम्हारी आँखों को तुम्हारे कानों से बाहर धकेल दूँगा; इसके अलावा मेरे पास दो घुमावदार पत्थर भी हैं, और मैं तुम्हें, शरीर और हड्डियों समेत, चूर-चूर कर दूँगा।
That was what the big billy-goat said; and so he flew at the Troll and poked his eyes out with his horns, and crushed him to bits, body and bones, and tossed him out into the burn, and after that he went up to the hill-side. There the billy-goats got so fat they were scarce able to walk home again; and if the fat hasn’t fallen off them, why they’re still fat; and so:
यही बड़े बकरे ने कहा था; और फिर वह ट्रोल पर झपटा और अपने सींगों से उसकी आँखें फोड़ दीं, और उसे शरीर और हड्डियों समेत चूर-चूर कर दिया, और उसे नाले में फेंक दिया, और उसके बाद वह पहाड़ी की तरफ़ चला गया। वहाँ बकरे इतने मोटे हो गए कि वे मुश्किल से वापस घर चल पा रहे थे; और अगर उनकी चर्बी अब तक नहीं उतरी, तो वे अभी भी उतने ही मोटे हैं; तो:
