The Ant and the Grasshopper

While industrious ants spend the summer storing food, a carefree grasshopper spends his days making music instead — a choice that catches up with him when winter comes.
One bright day in late autumn a family of Ants were bustling about in the warm sunshine, drying out the grain they had stored up during the summer.
देर की शरद ऋतु के एक चमकीले दिन, चींटियों का एक परिवार गर्म धूप में उस अनाज को सुखाने में व्यस्त था जो उन्होंने गर्मियों के दौरान जमा किया था।
A starving Grasshopper, his fiddle under his arm, came up and humbly begged for a bite to eat.
एक भूखा टिड्डा, अपनी बग़ल में अपनी सारंगी दबाए, वहाँ आया और विनम्रता से खाने का एक टुकड़ा माँगने लगा।
"What!" cried the Ants in surprise. "Haven't you stored anything away for the winter? What in the world were you doing all last summer?"
"क्या!" चींटियाँ हैरानी से चिल्लाईं। "क्या तुमने सर्दियों के लिए कुछ भी जमा नहीं किया? पिछली पूरी गर्मियों में तुम आख़िर कर क्या रहे थे?"
"I didn't have time to store up any food," whined the Grasshopper. "I was so busy making music that before I knew it the summer was gone."
"मेरे पास खाना जमा करने का समय ही नहीं था," टिड्डे ने रोते हुए कहा। "मैं संगीत बजाने में इतना व्यस्त था कि मुझे पता ही नहीं चला कि गर्मी कब बीत गई।"
The Ants shrugged their shoulders in disgust.
चींटियों ने घृणा से अपने कंधे उचकाए।
"Making music, were you?" they said. "Very well, now dance!" And they turned their backs on the Grasshopper and went on with their work.
"तो संगीत बजा रहे थे, है ना?" उन्होंने कहा। "बहुत अच्छा, अब नाचो!" और उन्होंने टिड्डे की ओर पीठ फेर ली और अपने काम में लग गईं।
There is a time for work and a time for play.
काम करने का भी एक समय होता है और खेलने का भी।
