Two Tickets, One Seat

Two train passengers both hold a ticket for the same seat, until the conductor spots that one of them boarded the wrong car.
Vikram finds seat 14C on the train and sits down. A few minutes later, another man stops next to him. "Excuse me, I think that's my seat," the man says. His name is Vince, and he holds a ticket too. Both tickets say seat 14C, car three. "That's strange," Vikram says, and looks at both tickets. "The app must have a problem today," Vince says. A conductor walks by, checking tickets down the aisle. Vikram waves her over and explains the problem. The conductor looks at both tickets carefully. "Ah, I see the mistake," she says. "Your ticket is for car three," she says. "This is car two," she tells Vince. Vince looks up at the sign near the door. "Oh! I got on the wrong car," he says. He laughs and picks up his small bag. "Sorry about that," he says to Vikram. "No problem at all," Vikram says, and smiles. Vince walks toward the next car to find his seat. The conductor checks Vikram's ticket again. "Enjoy your trip," she says, and moves on. Vikram opens his book and settles into his seat.
