Freya drove to the hardware store nearby. She walked up and down the wood aisle. She bought one new wooden board.
She also bought a small can of paint. The clerk gave her a few extra nails. Freya thanked him and headed home.
Back home, she measured the broken space. The new board was a little too big. She needed to cut it down first.
She borrowed a saw from her neighbor. She cut the board carefully outside. Sawdust covered her hands and the ground.
Freya nailed the new board into place. She stepped back and checked her work. The fence looked solid and complete again.
She opened a can of white paint. She painted the new board carefully. It matched the rest of the fence perfectly.
